The number of companies set up on the Hungarian market in the first half of the year fell to 12,500, a 22-percent fall from the previous year, according to the latest data published by Bisnode. More than 16,000 companies were set up on the Hungarian market in H1 2014. The downward trend is set to continue, according Bisnode, if no changes are made to the legislation that governs new businesses, with around 24,000 new companies in total predicted to open this year. In 2014, a total of 30,000 new companies opened on the Hungarian market.
