Commissioners from Lake County in Florida have approved the development plan of Wellness Way, a health-and-wellness themed community to be built near Clermont. The plans call for 16,500 housing units, including single family homes, apartments and town homes as well as 12 million square feet of non-residential space on a 15,000 plus acre site in southeast Lake County. When the build out is complete, in roughly 25 years, the planning documents project that the anticipated permanent job growth to reach 26,839. The plan next gets sent to the state which has a 45-day review window, and if approved, more detailed plans for the land can begin.
