Wurzak Hotel Group purchased a Fort Lauderdale funeral home for $12 million. The company is planning to renovate the 33,540-square-foot property into a 300-room, 24-story dual branded hotel with more than 17,000 square feet of retail space. FEDEQ DV002, a Miami company headed by Jonathan Cox, bought the property located at 299 N. Federal Highway for $3.95 million a year ago. The renovation is expected to be completed in 2017.
