Star Group: Residential demand up 7 percent in Prague

10 July 2015

Demand on the Czech residential market has increased 2.2 percent this year and by 7 percent in Prague alone, according to new data released by Star Group. The developer predicts that prices will follow suit and expects an overall increase of around 2 percent, due to rising construction and land costs. Buyers are looking for more energy-efficient product and are shifting their focus from small starter flats to bigger apartments. Tal Grozner, the director of Star Group, says demand is growing for three- to four-room flats. Star Group is currently developing a new neighborhood in Prague 8 called Nové Chabry.
