CityPlace Doral secures $136.9m construction loan

Related Group, Shoma Homes and Prudential secured a $136.9 million construction loan from Regions Bank for the next phase of their mixed-use project CityPlace Doral. Located at 8300 Doral Blvd., the first phase will offer 304 apartments and 250,000 square feet of retail, 60 percent of which is already pre-leased. Tenants include Fresh Market, a Cinebistro theater and a Kings bowling alley. CityPlace Doral’s first retail phase was designed by Arquitectonica. Suffolk Construction will oversee construction, with completion set for November 2016.

“We, our tenants and the community are very excited about the opening of this retail, entertainment and residential development,” said Steve Patterson, head of Related’s mixed-use division. “This will be a game changer for Doral. Now that the anchor space and most of the food and beverage is spoken for, we will focus our leasing efforts on the fashion and soft goods tenants.”
