National real estate investment firm Big Rock Partners is planning on breaking ground on a $60 million retirement community in Celebration later this year. The 225-unit project, located 15 minutes from the Walt Disney World Resort, will feature three different services: independent living, assisted living and memory care services. Amenities will include an indoor pool, a movie room, a fitness room, a beauty salon, a bank, and a top-floor solarium to watch Disney fireworks shows. Balfour Beatty will oversee construction, while Gensler will design the four- to six-story facility. Construction is slated for completion by mid-2017.
Instead of paying a large move-in fee, residents will be charged monthly rent, ranging from $4,000 to $5,000. The price includes all amenities and meals. “We’re working to set a higher standard for luxury and hospitality in a caring, senior-living setting that enables residents to stay involved in the wider Celebration community,” said Richard Ackerman of Big Rock Partners.
