Maccaferri Central Europe started construction on a new industrial warehouse in Senica. The producer of natural construction materials made of stone or metal plans to invest €6m into the new manufacturing facility in western Slovakia and add 150 new jobs to the local labor market. The plant will be the largest production facility for Maccaferri in Europe, stretching across 11,000 sqm, with the capacity to add an additional 2,500 sqm in the future. The company has owned the plot in the industrial part of Senica since 2007 but put the project on hold when the financial crisis hit. After running out of room at its current location in Brezova pod Bradlom, Maccaferri decided to revive the project. Keraming will oversee construction of the new plant, scheduled for completion in January 2016.
