Transport ministry spending CZK 2bn on road projects in 2015

29 April 2015

The Czech Road and motorways directorate (ŘSD) plans to invest more than CZK 2bn into the preparation of new road projects in 2015. The step should open the way to tapping EU funds to finance key infrastructure projects, such as the D11 towards Poland, the R35 expressway and the ongoing reconstruction of the crucial D1 motorway. ŘSD has signed contracts totaling CZK 415m since December and tenders are underway for further projects worth CZK 2bn. Prague’s ring-road did not make the list as ŘSD’s director Jan Kroupa told the server idnes.cz that its final route has not yet been approved.
