Cresco will start construction on Staromestska Offices in Bratislava in May. The project will go up on a parking lot on Staromestska street, where the developer originally planned to build a hotel. However, the financial crisis and a drop in hotel demand forced the company to revise its plans and go through the permitting process again. The office building, designed by Bogle Architects, will offer 15,500 sqm of usable space on seven floors, including 7,300 sqm of office, 900 sqm of ground-floor retail and underground parking for 138 cars. Juraj Jaroš, leasing manager at Cresco, says that the developer is in advanced negotiations with potential tenants for 30 percent of the space and is discussing financing options with banks. Staromestska Offices is scheduled for completion in mid-2017.
