A group led by Ilie Ionita built 20 housing blocks in Bucharestβs Salaj district and is now being accused of selling several of those apartments without fiscal documents. The damage is estimated at β¬2.5m.
“We identified 15 people involved in this business that during 2008 to 2015 illegally sold approximately 500 apartments,” the Bucharest police department said in a statement.
