Eurostat: Romania house prices up by 1.8% in Q4

Home prices on the Romanian market increased on average by 1.8 percent over the last three months of 2014, according to a report published by Eurostat. By contrast, residential prices in the EU stagnated in Q4, with the average price in the eurozone falling by 0.1 percent.
Countries that reported the biggest increase in housing prices include Malta (4.6 percent), Ireland (3.8 percent), Slovakia (2.1 percent) and the UK (2 percent), according to Eurostat. The largest decreases, meanwhile, were recorded in Latvia (-10.2 percent), Lithuania (-4.3 percent) and Cyprus (-3 percent).
