Atlanta based McDonald Development Co has bought an unused 70-acre plot of land for $7 million in East Tampa. The seller, IDI Services bought the land in 2004 and had it entitled for 900,000 square feet of warehouse space but never developed the site. The park will accommodate large and small warehouse users with spaces ranging from 10,000 up to 300,000 square feet. The site is east of U.S. 301, between East Columbus Drive and East Broadway Avenue. McDonald plans to break ground by year’s end of the year and is evaluating how big the first phase will be.
