DEK, one of the biggest construction material suppliers in the Czech Republic, saw its revenues grow by 14 percent to CZK 8.9bn in 2014. This is the company’s best annual results since it was established 22 years ago. The head of the company, Vít Kutnar, told Hospodářské noviny that he believes the construction sector will continue to recover. The sector reported 4-percent growth last year. Other construction material suppliers have benefited as well. Raab Karcher, the third largest supplier on the Czech market, reported 7-percent growth in revenues. DEK hopes that its revenues will grow 10 percent in 2015 and plans to open six new branches and modernize three of its existing stores, bringing its total number of stores in the Czech Republic and Slovakia to 73.
