Poland’s biggest insurer PZU will continue expanding its real estate portfolio this year, revealed Wojciech Pisz, director of real estate investments at TFI PZU. The news follows the completion of PZU’s first-ever purchase of warehouses in Poland for PLN 140m.
“So far, we’ve been focusing on investing into the local bond market, but as the market currently fails to provide satisfactory returns, we’re looking to expand our direct exposure into the Polish real estate market,” Pisz said. While refusing to provide any details, Pisz claims PZU is one of just two Polish investors capable of competing for the biggest projects in the sector, the other being PKO bank.
