Six new office projects and one refurbishment were completed on the Czech market in the last quarter of 2014, according to JLL. In total, 150,000 sqm of office space were delivered in 2014, marking the strongest annual growth in the last five years and a 3.5-percent improvement on the 10-year average. Modern office stock in Prague hit 3 million sqm at the end of 2014. The trend is set to continue this year, with more than 180,000 sqm of office stock expected to come on-line. Take-up, meanwhile, reached a record 332,800 sqm. The last quarter of 2014 was particularly strong with deals totaling more than 111,000 sqm, the highest gross take-up ever recorded in Prague in one quarter. Renegotiations made up 39.5 percent of the total, according to JLL. Some of the largest lease deals in 2014 included Amazon signing on for 5,800 sqm at Blox in Prague 6, and MSD taking 6,200 sqm at Riverview in Prague 5.
