Wizz Air to face legal action by Civil Aviation Authority

24 March 2015

Hungarian airline Wizz Air, along with Aer Lingus and Jet2, are facing legal action by the UK Civil Aviation Authority over alleged breaches of consumer law in their handling of passengers affected by flight disruptions. The three airlines failed to make changes required by airline regulations, including faster compensation and proactively informing passengers of their rights during disruptions of service. The CAA has therefore launched an enforcement action against the carriers and will seek a court order unless they comply.
