H.J. Construction Co. is taking bids from subcontractors for the new $40 million Orlando Police Department headquarters. The Orlando-based contractor is building the 3-story, 95,000 square foot complex on the southeast corner of South Street and Orange Blossom Trial. The project also includes another 80,000 square feet of renovations. The police complex is being relocated to make way for the $200 million Orlando Magic’s new downtown entertainment complex. Construction is slated to start in May.
