Prague is considering filing a lawsuit over defective cabling in the Blanka tunnel. The city wants to sue the supplier, ČKD Praha DIZ. The Prague city council still has to discuss the matter and is set to decide this week. The city also filed a lawsuit with another Blanka project supplier, IDS.
The defective cabling forced the city to yet again postpone the tunnel’s opening. Blanka is a key part of the Prague ring road, which is scheduled to open in April. Prague Mayor Adriana Krnáčová and her deputy for transport, Petr Dolínek, said the city is not willing to foot the repair bill.
