Czech prime minister Bohuslav Sobotka is undertaking a trip to South Korea together with a delegation of Czech business leaders. Czech Radio points out that despite the fact that South Korea is the fourth largest foreign investor in the country, this is the first time in 13 years a Czech prime minister has been in the country. “This is without doubt one of the key trips abroad by the prime minister this year,” said deputy foreign minister Martin Tlapa. South Korean tire giant Nexen unveiled plans last year for the construction of a plant near Žatec worth more than CZK 20bn that’s expected to employ over 1,000 people.
