Schweighofer Group invested €14m Radauti factory

Austrian Schweighofer Group invested €14m in a production factory for laminated beams in the Romanian town of Radauti. The new plant was put into operation this month and required the hiring of 75 people. The plant’s entire output is intended for export to Japan.
Holzindustrie Schweighofer, which entered the Romanian market in 2012, currently has over 2,500 employees and operates four woodworking factories in Romanian cities: Rădăuţi, Sebeş, Siret and Comăneşti. A fifth unit will be inaugurated in the first part of this year, in Reci, Covasna county.
