The daily denik.cz reports that a new office building is to be built across from the Vankovka shopping center in central Brno. The developer is a local company called Camastro, whose representative David Jiran says the project should be completed by the middle of 2016. Since work began on site last year, the foundation has been built and the building’s geothermal boreholes have been completed. He says workers have reached the building’s 4th floor, and that 12 will eventually be constructed to house roughly 1,000 sqm of retail space and 7,000 sqm of offices. Dorn House, which will be clad in brick in order to fit in with the Vankovka mall and with the classic industrial district it’s located in, is named after the street on which it’s located.
