Huawei to invest HUF 10bn on Hungarian broadband

Huawei plans to invest HUF 10bn to develop Hungary’s broadband network and expand its regional innovation center. The Chinese networking and telecommunications company has invested €200m on the Hungarian market over the past decade, partnering with Vodafone on its 4G mobile network and supplying Magyar Telekom with its IP-TV technology and network. Huawei will expand regional functions as well as existing production and logistics activities at its center just outside Budapest. The center will handle returns, parts supply and service for all of Europe.
