REAS: Oversupply on Polish housing market

9 February 2015

An increase in sales in 2013 encouraged Polish housing developers to expanding their offer in 2014. As a result, supply on the local housing market doubled, which is now raising concerns of oversupply, claims REAS.

Demand will fail to meet supply this year, according to REAS, as the Polish housing market has started to stabilize. The REAS report suggests that sales for local residential developers will shrink this year, despite the government’s subsidy program. “The strengthening of the Swiss franc will make the primary housing market far more attractive compared to the secondary housing sector,” REAS writes in its report.
