Capitalizing on the growing need for assisted living care in Southwest Florida, Omega Communities, LLC has purchased 8.93 acres of land at Six Mile Cypress Parkway south of Daniels Parkway in Fort Myers for $2.05m. Omega plans to develop a senior living community on the parcel. The vendor, DRLP LLC, had it rezoned from retail to multi-family to better fit market demands.
“As baby boomers in southwest Florida continue to grow older, there is a growing need for elderly assisted living care,” said Karen Johnson-Crowther, Principal, Director of Retail Services for Colliers International Southwest Florida. “A number of developers have recognized this need and are looking to find their niche in the Southwest Florida market.”
