Turnover on Bratislava’s residential market hit €376m in 2014, the highest it’s been in five years, according to statistics released by Bencont Investments. Buyers reserved or bought 2,635 flats, up by one-sixth from the previous year. Prices continued to fall, though, dropping 0.23 percent on average to €2,156/sqm, while the average selling price of a residential unit decreased by 3 percent to €141,775 including VAT. Flats were the cheapest they’ve been in a decade, according to the figures. Eight new projects and two new construction phases on existing projects have brought the total number of available flats to 3,338.
