F&C Reit bought the Marietta-Quartier commercial complex located on Breiter Weg in Magdeburg for the Best Value Germany II (BVG II) Spezialfonds. The price of the deal was not disclosed. Delivered in 2007, the property offers 7,300 sqm of retail and office space. Tenants include a dm drugstore, Targobank, IT service provider KID Magdeburg and Intersport. The complex was developed by Bauwens and Henke Grundstücksgesellschaft for €25m. Shortly after completion, Bauwens sold the property to the Luxembourg-based fund company German Property Portfolio.
