FIEGE Expands with 18,000 sqm Logistics Warehouse in CTPark Žatec

22 August 2024

CTP, developer, owner, and manager of industrial and logistics properties, has officially handed over a newly completed 18,000-square-meter logistics warehouse in CTPark Žatec to FIEGE s.r.o., a leading European logistics and transport provider. The facility, dedicated to tyre storage and distribution, marks a significant expansion for FIEGE, which has also signed an agreement to lease an additional 6,000 square meters in the same building as of April 2024.

This new regional distribution center will serve as a critical hub for FIEGE, managing the storage and distribution of Nexen Tire Europe’s tyres to automotive manufacturing plants across Europe. The facility is specially equipped to handle tyres in transport cages, ensuring compliance with stringent fire and safety regulations. CTP has customized the warehouse to meet these specific needs, including modifications to fire sections and the installation of advanced sprinkler systems.

David Peterka, Head of Business Development at FIEGE, commented on the expansion: “Signing this contract with CTP represents a major step in our strategy to enhance our logistics operations across Europe. The new facility in CTPark Žatec positions us closer to our customers and aligns with our clients’ goals of localizing production. We are pleased with the outcome of this collaboration and look forward to fully commencing operations.”

Jakub Kodr, Managing Director and Commercial Director of CTP in the Czech Republic, expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing partnership: “We are thrilled to continue our successful collaboration with FIEGE on this third project. This development underscores CTPark Žatec’s strategic importance as a key distribution hub for Europe, reflecting our capability to meet the unique needs of our clients and maintain their trust.”

The CTPark Žatec site is strategically located about 30 kilometers from the German border, offering easy access via the D8 motorway and proximity to the D7 motorway connecting Prague with Chomutov. The park is situated within a densely populated industrial zone, with approximately 300,000 residents within a 30-kilometer radius, supported by robust infrastructure and state business incentives.

In addition to the newly completed ZA4 hall, which offers 71,000 square meters of space (47,000 square meters of which remains available), CTPark Žatec features two other warehouses with Shell & Core spaces of 4,000 and 9,000 square meters, adaptable within six months of contract signing.

Markéta Vrbasová, Director of Industrial Leasing at KNIGHT FRANK Czech Republic, noted: “It is gratifying to see FIEGE’s specific requirements realized in this new facility. Our collaboration with CTP and FIEGE has resulted in a well-suited logistics solution, enhancing our long-term partnerships and strategic consulting efforts.”

CTPark Žatec is also designed with sustainability in mind, with the building constructed to meet BREEAM New Construction Sustainability Certification at the Excellent level.
