Residential prices up 7% y-o-y

The prices of new flats on the Czech market are 7 percent higher on average, compared to last year. However, they were still one-third lower than prices in 2008, according to research conducted by the residential developer Central Group. The average price of a flat in the first half of 2014 was CZK 32,352/sqm without VAT, according to the data. Central Group offers flats at CZK 1.8m for one room, CZK 2.8m for two rooms, CZK 3.9m for three rooms and CZK 5.7m for four rooms. These prices include VAT. In 2008, a one-room flat sold for CZK 2.4m, while a two-room flat cost CZK 3.7m.
