Strabag to build VW factory in Września

3 December 2014

Strabag secured a contract from Volkswagen to build three out of the five production centers that will comprise the German carmaker’s factory in Września, near Poznań. The contractor has until the first half of 2015 to complete the project. The value of the contract was not disclosed. Set to go up on a 220 ha plot, the factory will produce WV’s Carter vehicles. The Września factory is going up in Wałbrzych’s Special Economic Zone, known as Invest-Park. It is one of the biggest and fastest-growing economic zones in the country. The new VW factory is also considered to be the biggest investment seen in the Wrześnie municipality in the last 25 years. This is Strabag’s second contract with VW in Poland this year, following an investment in Polkowice
