The Czech construction sector is showing signs of revival after seven years of recession. Production is expected to grow in the next two years, according to the trade union association Euroconstruct. Its most recent research suggests 2.5 percent growth in 2015, accelerating to 4 percent in 2017. Construction in the 19 member countries Euroconstruct is active in dropped by 2.7 percent in 2013, though this figure should grow by 1 percent during 2014. The association believes construction hit bottom in 2013 and that moderate growth should begin in 2015. Residential construction is expected to accelerate the most to 4 percent in 2015-17. Non-residential production is expected to increase by 2 percent each year.
