Prague seeks end to Blanka arbitration

25 November 2014

The city of Prague wants to cancel arbitration with the contractor of the Blanka tunnel complex, Inženýring dopravních staveb (IDS). Petr Dolínek (Social Democrats), the new councillor in charge of transport in Prague, says the city’s new leadership wants to discuss the bills directly with the supplier. IDS claims that the city owes it an additional CZK 152m because of the repeat project delays. The city has paid the company CZK 202m to date. The arbitration court has already met three times over the matter but has not come to a decision yet.
