Prologis Signs Third-Largest Lease in Hungary in 2014

17 November 2014

Prologis, Inc., the global leader in industrial real estate, today announced it has signed a lease agreement for 20,750 square metres at Prologis Park Budapest–Gyál with GE Hungary. GE Hungary is part of GE, one of the world’s largest suppliers of energy, transportation, health care, water and lighting solutions.

The park, which is 100-percent leased, is a modern distribution centre currently comprised of five buildings totaling 152,000 square metres. It is approximately 18 kilometres southeast of the Budapest city centre and 17 kilometres west of its international airport, providing access to the M5 and M0 motorways.

“This, our third-largest lease agreement signed in Hungary this year, reflects growing demand for high-quality distribution space,” said László Kemenes, vice president and country manager, Prologis Hungary and Romania. “Currently our Hungarian portfolio is 96 percent leased, and we see increased customer interest for the remaining available space.” CBRE facilitated the transaction.

Prologis is the leading industrial real estate provider in Hungary with a portfolio totalling more than 534,000 square metres (as of 30 September 2014).
