Ryanair wants to set up a new hub at the M.R.Štefánika airport in Bratislava next spring. Starting in March, the Irish low-cost air carrier will offer 16 routes from the airport. It will station two planes in Bratislava, with plans to add an additional two more planes in the future, according to the company’s CEO Michael O’Leary. The service is targeting business travelers with early connections to London in the morning and a return to Bratislava in the evening. The carrier also plans to set up a new connection to Madrid from Bratislava. Ryanair is anticipating 1 million passengers annually.
