Czech Transport Minister Antonín Prachař from the political party ANO resigned shortly after he forced the head of Czech Railways, Daniel Kurucz, to resign. The Czech Finance Minister and head of ANO, Andrej Babiš, has suggested that the head of Skanska, Dan Ťok, replace Prachař, who claims he is leaving politics. Babiš explained that Ťok would be able to withstand the pressures from construction companies. Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka (ČSSD) said he was surprised with the nomination. Czech President Miloš Zeman acknowledged the resignation of Prachař and wants to meet Ťok before he approves his appointment.
