RegioJet, which has been operating trains between Prague and Košice for the past few weeks, will now start offering connections between Bratislava and Košice. Radim Jančura, the owner of RegioJet, has launched a price war with ŽSSK, as he wants to set up a point of purchase in the Košice railway station. He says that until the Slovak national railway operator ŽSSK agrees to this, RegioJet will charge only €9 for each ticket, half the price charged by ŽSSK.
