One Tampa City Center sells for $128.13m

The 38-story One Tampa City Center in downtown Tampa has sold for $128.13m. It is one of the largest commercial real estate transactions in Florida history. Alliance Partners purchased the property, also known as the PNC Building, from One Tampa Center City LLC.

Built in 1981 it was Florida’s tallest office building for three years, until it was overtaken first by 100 North Tampa and then by Bank of America Plaza. One Tampa Center LLC purchased the property in 2006 for $87.8m.

Tenants in the 750,000 square foot One Tampa City Center include the University Club, Verizon, Merrill Lynch and several bank chains.
