Emirates begins service to Budapest

The airline Emirates has begun daily service to Budapest, a move anna.aero claims will provide Budapest with its only regular wide-body airplane service. Emirates will be flying 278-seat A330-200s back and forth between the Hungarian capital and Dubai. Jost Lammers, CEO, Budapest Airport said: “We are delighted at Budapest Airport to once again celebrate a milestone in Hungarian aviation history. For a fast growing market like Budapest, it is essential to have world class airlines connected and we are delighted that Emirates have launched their daily wide body service from Budapest to Dubai, which will provide excellent connections through their hub.” Emirates will be operating out of the airport’s Terminal 2B. The first outbound flight was nearly full, carrying 20 business class passengers and 250 sitting in economy.
