Karel Kučera has become the new director of CzechInvest, the Czech government investment agency. The appointment was confirmed by the minister of industry and trade, Jan Mládek. Kučera previously worked for Czech Television, Accenture and Deutsche Post. He won the job tender the ministry launched in April. Mládek told ČTK that he had been looking for a person with private sector experience who could bring new ideas to the agency. Kučera will replace the current director of CzechInvest, Ondřej Votruba.
