Telekom Romania looking for headquarters

29 September 2014

Cosmote and Romtelecom were officially rebranded Telekom Romania in September and now the company, which is now part of Deutsche Telekom, is looking for new headquarters in Bucharest. Company reps hope to move by the end of the year. The former Romtelecom occupies 12,000 sqm at City Gate office complex and 2,000 sqm at the BOB Tower office building.
The Greek businessman Ioannis Papalekas is said to be in talks with a company that wants to sign a lease on 25,000 sqm at his Globalworth Campus. Many in the real estate community are speculating the new tenant is Telekom Romania, but the reports have not been confirmed. Vodafone Romania, meanwhile, signed a pre-lease during the first half of 2014 for 16,000 sqm in the Bucharest One office building, currently under development by Papalekas.
