A Pilsen court has halted work on a large logistics project Lettenmayer & Partner was developing in Hory, citing a mistake made in a change of the master plan. Owners of neighboring plots have long opposed the 118,000 sqm development, which was slated to go up next to family homes. The court in Pilsen voided a change made to the area’s master plan that was approved by local deputies in 2011. The project Lettenmayer & Partner were developing called for the construction of 30,000 sqm of logistics and commercial space as well as a large car showroom. Hory Mayor Milan Pokorný told ČTK that while the logistics center would create 250 new jobs, it would have negative impact on traffic and on the life of the village, which is located in the Karlovarský region. He pointed out that logistics centers are usually built outside residential areas.
