The Slovak National Motorway Authority (NDS) has thrown out the three lowest bids from the D1 motorway tender. The decision was criticized by the Public Procurement Authority as just four consortiums entered the tender for construction manager, according to the Slovak Markíza TV. The Public Procurement Authority has ordered NDS to reconsider the cheapest bidder.
The most expensive bid in the tender is worth €7.8m, and the cheapest is €3.8m. If NDS appeals the National Public Procurement Authority’s decision, construction of the D1 motorway will be delayed.
