The district attorney in Bratislava has been told to investigate the legitimacy of the zoning permit issued in connection with the Slovak national football stadium. The state prosecutor explained the order by saying it was unclear on what basis the Nové Mesto municipality issued the permit. An initial investigation into the matter began in the spring following a request from an individual who claimed the permit was not in line with the city’s master plan following changes made to it in February 2012. According to sme.sk, Nové Mesto’s spokesman Marek Tettinger says that the changes to the city’s master plan had nothing to do with the land used for the construction or its potential uses.
