Łódź moves forward with Brama Miasta project

18 July 2014

A schedule for the delayed Brama Miasta office project in Łódź has been released. Under the new development timetable, an updated valuation for the Brama Miasta plot and a local zoning plan for Nowe Centrum Łodz, which is part of the project, are scheduled to be completed by October. The project was delayed after the original investor, LDZ Brama, pulled out of the project. A new tender for the land should take place later this year or early next year, according to media reports.
“Despite LDZ Brama’s withdrawal from the land purchase contract, we still want to continue this strategic project for the city. So far we have taken on the bid bond of PLN 4m,” said Łódź Mayor Hanna Zdanowska. “The president of mBank Cezary Stypułkowski has recently confirmed his desire to locate the headquarters of the company in the building and this will mean the creation of over 2,500 jobs. It represents a huge opportunity for our city.”
