Penta Investments has broken ground on Waltrovka, a brownfield redevelopment near the Jinonice metro station in Prague 5. PSJ, which is overseeing construction, started work on the Aviatica office building, the first phase of the new neighborhood. Penta plans to invest CZK 5bn into the redevelopment of the former Walter production area. Aviatica will offer 27,000 sqm of office, with 3,500 sqm of retail on the ground floor and parking for 500 cars. The building, designed by Cigler Marani Architects, has secured LEED Gold pre-certification. Additional phases will include more office, retail and residential, as well as a relaxation area and a central park on 15,000 sqm.
