Dumitru Chezan and Maria Barbos, the duo behind the Tower Park project in Cluj-Napoca have been accused of fraud. Prosecutors claim that the two Tower SRL executives conned investors out of €6m for projects they had no intention of developing. The money has already been spent, however it did not go toward the purported developments, according to the indictment. The project land reportedly belongs to Tower SRL. The Tower Park scheme consisted of three 18-floor office buildings. Chezan is the owner of Tower SRL, while Barbos is the company’s director of operations and transactions.
