The number of houses completed in Romania in the first three months of 2014 has increased from the previous year’s first quarter performance by 588 builds, according to figures released by the National Institute of Statistics. The country saw an increase of private investments in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2013, according to the institute. Romania’s northwest region was the most active, with 1,792 houses completed in Q1, with Bucharest following with 1,498 new houses. Most houses were built in urban areas (51 percent), according to the data.
