An investigation is underway by police into the sale of seven parcels of land that now lie beneath the Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Bratislava, next to the city’s new Winter Sports stadium. The city of Bratislava sold the land to company Tehelné pole. Police are looking into the valuation of the land, as this was used to set the price at which it was sold. The land was sold at a price of €250.95 per square meter, which came to €1.036m for the 4,132 sqm of land. The TASR wire service says police believe the price should have been €12,767 more.
