CTP is determined to bring Amazon to Brno. The US e-retailer’s plans to build a massive 100,000 sqm warehouse in the city’s Černovická terasa industrial zone were already rejected three times by Brno deputies. However, the city subsequently approved the sale of land needed for the project to CTP, and the developer has now requested an environmental impact assessment (EIA) be conducted. Moreover, information on the CZK 3bn project was also recently posted publicly by South Moravian administrators. The matter is scheduled to be discussed at today’s Czech cabinet meeting, while Brno officials will review the latest developments on May 20. Brno politicians have expressed concern about increased traffic should the Amazon project move forward.
