Straco Group’s 2013 turnover drops 29%

Straco Group,a Bucharest-based company specializing in the construction of roads and highways, posted a turnover of €140m last year, down 29 percent from 2012. The company’s net profit also fell by a third to €0.2m, according to data published by the Ministry of Finance. In 2012, Straco Group was considered the largest Romanian-owned construction company based on its annual turnover. The company, controlled by Alexander and Traian Horpos, was involved in two projects worth nearly €300m last year: construction of the Orastie-Sibiu and Deva-Orastie highways.
