Adam Jasser named Poland’s antitrust chief

Adam Jasser has been appointed as the new head of Poland’s antitrust regulator UOKiK. He replaces Małgorzata Krasnodębska-Tomkiel who was fired in February. Prior to his appointment, Jasser was the chancellery head of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s cabinet where he was responsible for the organization of the government’s day-to-day operations. Jasser graduated from Warsaw University. In 2009, he was chief of Reuter’s Central and Eastern Europe, Balkans and Turkish economic division.
